On 8 April I participated in a panel at the International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy, on behalf of De Correspondent. We talked about different funding models for high-quality journalism. From donations to micropayments, crowdfunding to billionaires, we explored what’s working for us. Fellow panelists were:
- Joyce Barnathan, president of the International Centre for Journalists
- Celeste LeCompte, director business development ProPublica
- Maria Ramirez, co-founder El Español
- Vivian Schiller, executive committee chair Vocativ and former CEO of NPR

I am always on the road, whether it be for my degree or my internship. Hence, I decided to start a travel blog called The Backpack Blues where I share my stories and tips with others. All the photos and stories found on my blog are taken and written by me.
